2. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account registration: Name, email address, and password when you create an account.
- Venue listings: Venue name, address, contact details, photos, and event information submitted by venue owners.
- RSVPs: Name, email, optional phone number, party size, and notes submitted when reserving a spot at an event.
Information collected automatically
- Page views and event clicks for analytics purposes
- Browser type, device information, and IP address
- Referral source and search terms used on the Platform
3. How we use your information
- To operate the Platform and provide our services
- To pass RSVP information to the relevant venue owner
- To send transactional emails (RSVP confirmations, account notifications)
- To improve the Platform based on usage analytics
- To detect and prevent fraud or abuse
- To comply with legal obligations
4. RSVP data and venue owners
When you submit an RSVP, your name, email, and party details are shared with the venue owner for that event. MatchNight does not publicly display RSVP contact information. Venue owners are responsible for handling your data in accordance with applicable privacy laws.
5. Data sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with:
- Venue owners: RSVP data as described above
- Service providers: Infrastructure providers (e.g. Supabase for database hosting) who process data on our behalf under data processing agreements
- Law enforcement: Where required by law or to protect the rights and safety of users
6. Data retention
Account data is retained while your account is active. RSVP data is retained for up to 12 months after the event date. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.
7. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Object to certain processing activities
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

8. Cookies

9. Security
We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), row-level security on our database, and access controls to protect your data. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the date at the top of this page when we do. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
